Primary Complementary Dressings
Uses
- Venous leg ulcers
- Arterial ulcers
- Cellulitis
- General wound(s) that have a low to med-high exudate output or that need some padding for trauma protection.
Positives
- Reduces trauma to the periwound for fragile skin
- Theoretically the dressing shouldn’t dry onto the primary dressing or the peri wound allowing a reduction in pain on removal
Limitations
- Limited sizes
- Tape or bandage(s) still needed to be applied to it when used

- Should only be used on adults (as per manufacturer)
