UrgoClean® is a sterile non-woven pad composed of poly-absorbent fibres that are highly absorbent and cohesive.
UrgoClean® is for the desloughing stage of non-infected wounds including chronic wounds (diabetic foot ulcers, leg ulcers and pressure injuries) and potentially sloughy wounds: acute wounds (burns, skin abrasions and traumatic wounds), post-operative wounds and cancerous wounds.

Uses

Positives
- Great for removing slough
- A very user friendly product for infected wounds
- Only wound care product that has been approved specifically for diabetic foot ulcers

Limitations
- Can be stacked on top of each other for deeper wounds however there are other dressings options such as hydrofibers which are better suited to cavernous wounds.
- Can’t absorb thick exudate
Precautions
- Not to be used for heavily bleeding wounds
