Uses
- A bleeding would area once it has been packed with alginate and zetuvit and then wrapped with cotton bandage and crepe
- Can also be used as an anchor as for IDCs. You would form a flap with the tap (folding it onto itself) and then adhering it to the thigh of the patient. You would then anchor the IDC using another piece of tape and a safety pin
Positives
- Great at providing tension over small areas
- Remover spray/wipes can be used on it as it allows the spray/wipe to permeate the dressing rather than lift it
Limitations
- If very sticky and shouldn’t be used on fragile skin
