Uses
- Great for low to moderate exudating wounds
- Used as a secondary dressing over dressings in the complimentary dressing section
- Used on skin tears where skin transplantation can occur (Once placed over the skin tear place a directional arrow on the way the dressing is to be removed)
- Great for pressure injury prevention or management
Positives
- A great all in one dressing used for skin tears (with jelonet)
- Great for simple dressings
- Very gentle on the skin
Limitations
- Doesn’t absorb a large amount of exudate
- Does not hold up to repeated exposure to external water
Precautions
- Can ball up if the edges start to life causing a risk of a Pressure Injury
