Uses
- Preparation for radiotherapy
- Friable epidermis
- Maintenance of skin that has healed due to blistering (cardiac blisters, cellulitis ect)
Positives
- Can aid in reducing skin degradation in highly friable patients
- Aids in wound care by increasing water retention and providing an anti-microbial element with the silver sulfadiazine
Limitations
- Be careful around stacking dressings on top of cream as it can remove it. If possible allow the cream to absorb and then continue with he primary dressing
