Uses
- Cleaning wound beds
- Painting iodine onto ichaemic areas (eg toes, ulcers)
- Painting friars balsam onto peri-wound
Positives
- The loosely woven gauze micro-debrides as it is removed from a wound bed. This is unlike the pressed gauzed that is smooth
