Uses

  • Wounds with a small to moderate levels of exudate
  • Diabetic foot ulcers with Urgo Tul or Urgo Tul Ag as a primary and then hyperfixed in place
  • Where mepilex border or Biatain Super Adhesive is inappropriate (tubigrip holds it in place)

Positives

  • Conforms to wound bed when exudate is absorbed
  • Creates a moist wound healing environment
  • Can be cut to any shape or size
  • A great secondary dressing for the feet

Limitations

  • Can not be stacked on each other
  • Does not conform to deep wounds
  • Does not wick fluid to secondary dressing

Precautions

  • It does conform to wound bed when it comes into contact with exudate. However, if the cavity is too deep then a wicking primary dressing should be used (eg. Aquacel (all variants), Urgo foams (StartPlus and Clean Ag)
