Treatment Goals

Allow the patient to keep being independent at home in safety. Which means no bulky dressings which will allow proper footwear.

Aim of Dressing

Absorb and transfer the exudate into the zetuvit. The slough (what little there is) will come off during the removal of the aquacel due to the micro-debriding that occurs on removal.

Single leg - elderly

Patient is in her 80's and is fiercely independent and wont move into her children's houses for support. Our main goal is for her to return home and continue to complete her ADLs safely whilst supporting her venous leg ulcers.

Clean with debrisoft and diluted betadine (think bad fake tan colour)

Wrap with Zetuvit

Secure with Tubular Form

Secure with tubular form. One piece from the toes to just below the calf and then another piece from the ankle to just below the knee. You will need 2 different sizes
