Patient had had a long lie wearing shoes that lacked any cushioning around the achilles tendon. This lead to necrosis occurring

Step 1

Prepare your sterile field

Prepare your sterile field and decant your sterile dressing product onto it using ANTT

Clean the wound

Clean the wound bed and try to remove as much dead and devitalised tissue as possible

Remove and devilaised tissue

Call your Wound Care CNC and request a sharp debridement.

Apply the Aquacel Ag+ Ribbon

Apply the aquacel ribbon gauze layering the ribbon into the cavity.

Secure the dressing

secure the dressing cutting the biatain non adhesive in half and securing with hypafix
