Treatment Goals

To decrease bacterial burden the wound whilst providing venous insufficiency support with a slim line dressing due to specialised shoe requirements.

Shunt excess extra cellular fluid and provide a antimicrobial moist wound healing environment

Mixed ulcers on bilateral legs

An elderly woman who has a mobility issue who requires custom shoes (worth $5,000) has bilateral mixed ulcers.

Step 1

Prepare you sterile field

Open products using ANTT onto your sterile field

Clean the wound

Clean the wound with woven gauze and normal saline. If required debrisoft luffa can be used.

Apply Urgo clean

Apply the Urgo Clean Ag STICKY side down.

Secure with hypafix

Because the exudate was low we did not need an absorbent dressing

Apply low mmHg compressiom

Apply the tubular form to give a small amount of venous return support
