Treatment Goals
Preserve the skin integrity to reduce the likelihood of a large wound forming when the blister is deroofed.
Aim of Dressing
By lancing the dressing and removing the serous fluid the aim is the transpose the epidermis layer back onto the wound bed. To aid in the healing and have a atraumatic removal of the dressing an oil based dressing is used.
