Orthotics (for darcoe shoe - forefoot offloading), Medical or Wound Care CNC to sharp debride the wound with a curette

Patient requiring to go home without a vac dressing due to a falls risk.

Step 1

Setup sterile field

Setup your sterile field with all your sterile products

Clean the wound

Clean the wound gently to agitate the wound bed

Remove bioburden and slough

Cleans the wound using the octenilin. Place some dry gauze into the wound and then soak with the octenilin and leave for 10min. Have the Wound CNC or Medical Staff member curette the wound afterwards.

Pack the wound and cover

Pack the wound with aquacel ag + ribbon gauze then cover with Biatain non-adhesive foam.

Secure

Tape down with Hypafix/Mefix
