The patient had a Whipple's procedure and was discharged and came back a week later due to the scare line opening up with purulent exudate coming out.

Setup sterile field

Setup your sterile field with all your sterile products

Clean the wound

Clean the wound gently as to not agitate the wound bed

apply friars balsam

Place at least 1 coat around the dehisced primary closure area. If doing 2 coats allow the first to fully dry before recoating
