Uses
- Used as the first layer below crepe
- Replacement for the first layer in the 4 layer compression bandage (Profore 4)
- Used to pad up ‘champagne legs’ so that compression can be applied properly
Positives
- Great for adding padding to reduce blunt force trauma
- Makes dressings more comfortable for patients
Limitations
- Can become very bulky
- Can absorb exudate and when dried becomes very rigid and can cause trauma when removing. Please soak off it off if this occurs
- Can become hot in summer months
